Why Drummers Need Drum Cases

Imagine the start of a typical rock band rehearsal. The guitarist arrives with a case slung over his shoulder, and takes out his guitar, an effects pedal, maybe a cable or two. Then the bass player arrives and goes through a similar process. Even the singer has a small case for his microphone.

But when the drummer arrives, he starts lugging in this multitude of instruments that are either shoved into his back seat and trunk, or are rolling around in the bed of a truck. And unlike guitarists, whose instruments are often pristine decades after their original purchase, the drummer's stuff tends to look decades old after a couple of years of this treatment. Worst case scenario is that after a couple of drops on a concrete floor, the rims get bent, cymbals get cracked, and the entire investment in an instrument goes down the drain.

It used to be that serious protection for drums was only for serious drummers; that is, professional studio and touring drummers who needed to ensure the long-term viability of their gear in order to remain viable in their business. But today, there's no reason that any drummer can't take advantage of new case technologies that allow for maximum protection with lower weights (and at lower prices) than previosuly available.

Body Glove makes several different lines of bags and cases for drums and drum accessories. Because we're musicians, we know exactly what other musicians need for real-world protection, as well as convenience. That means we have innovative designs that include products like our telescoping cymbal bag, as well as a backpack version that will make loading in and out of a gig quick and easy. The same elements that go into our guitar and bass cases, like moisture-wicking interiors and hard-shell protection in soft-shell designs, make our drums cases the best the industry has to offer. Also, our variety of styles ensures that your snare, toms, and cymbals each get cases that are custom-fitted for maximum effectiveness. All in all, you can't get better protection for the investment you've put into your drums.

Next band rehearsal, watch your guitarist's jaw drop when you unload in seconds flat -- and in style!
